Anne Lockhart, born Anne Kathleen Maloney in September 1953 is an American actress from the United States. She is most well-known for her role as Lieutenant Sheba in the television show Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). Lockhart is the grandchild and daughter of actor Gene Lockhart, as well as actor June Lockhart. Glen Larson, who had sent a rough script of her role that she would play in the TV show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, was initially selected for the role. It was not a strong character enough to warrant her acceptance of the part. Then Glen created a brand new character exclusively for her featuring a much stronger character named Sheba. She was able to accept the Living Legend script after reading the first 25 pages. The show lasted for one season. She starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the film Joyride (1977) and also co-starred together with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
