Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her career began in Mexico with starring roles in the television series Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo who is a painter, in Frida (2002) which was a biographical feature she created, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6She also received the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6. The actress also won her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek starred in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico film over the next years and concentrated more on making.
